The Rainbow Girls Foundation of New Mexico announces a scholarship for active Rainbow girls in New Mexico who are in good standing with their assemblies or majority members of New Mexico Rainbow Assemblies. The applicant must be pursuing a post-secondary education.
Applications
Applications for these scholarships are available through the Mother Advisors and/or the Supreme Inspector/Deputy. Applications may be downloaded below. The Rainbow Girls Foundation of New Mexico Board will determine the amount to be awarded each year.
Criteria
The criteria will be based on financial need, academic potential and merit, which include Rainbow activities, service, as well as school and community activities.
Deadline
The deadline for scholarship applications to be received is May 1st.
Awards
The recipients of the scholarships will be announced at Grand Assembly.
Disbursement
One half (1/2) of the total award will be issued to the scholarship recipient upon receipt by the Foundation Treasurer of a paid registration notice (verification of enrollment) for the first semester. This money may apply to tuition, books, and/or other fees associated with the recipient’s education.
To maintain eligibility for the second semester, each recipient must provide the Foundation Treasurer with the following:
A transcript reflecting at least a 2.75 GPA for the Semester with a minimum of twelve (12) semester hours.
Paid registration receipt (verification of enrollment) of the second semester reflecting enrollment in at least twelve (12) credits during the second semester.
