18-Year-Old Miss Chloee to lead the Grand Assembly of New Mexico in upcoming year, hopes to raise funds for Shriners Hospitals

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (June 2023) – The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, a service and leadership organization for young women that has been operating in New Mexico for the last 90 years, announced late last month the selection of its newest Grand Worthy Advisor. Miss Chloee, 18, of Farmington, will serve in the position for the upcoming 2023-2024 term. 

Chloee is a member of Farmington Rainbow Assembly #35, located at and sponsored by Animas Lodge #15, A.F. and A.M. While attending Farmington High School, Chloee served in various leadership roles for the National Honor Society,  was captain of the volleyball team and represented the school district at sports leadership meetings. She graduated last month, 9th out of 393 students with a 4.45 G.P.A, and will be attending Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri, on a volleyball scholarship. 

As the 88th Grand Worthy Advisor of the Grand Assembly of New Mexico, Chloee will have the opportunity to lead girls around the state in community service projects, leadership development activities, and will represent New Mexico at the national and international level. She has chosen Shriners Children’s Hospitals’ Pediatric and Orthotics and Prosthetic Services (POPS)  as the State Service Project for her term. Onsite at each Shriners Children Hospitals, POPS designs, fits and manufactures orthotics and prosthetics for children, from infants to teenagers to young adults – all at no cost to the patient or the patient’s family. Under Chloee’s leadership, New Mexico Rainbow Girls will provide monetary ad in-kind donations to benefit these services. 

“Rainbow has made a significant difference in my life because it has taught me to lead with a heart of service and to enjoy putting others’ needs before my own,” said Chloee, Grand Worthy Advisor-elect for the Grand Assembly of New Mexico. “Service is truly transformative and helping others brings me great joy when I see their joy.”

Chloee will be installed during the 89th annual Grand Assembly of New Mexico “Forever the Rainbow” Grand Session held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, June 18 – July 2, 2023.
